    In a conversation with media at Naseer Bunda Hockey stadium Islamabad on Wednesday he said ” Azlan Shah hockey cup is not a big tournament but a good chance to practice for the mega events , we are working on the fitness of the players, to reconstruct the domestic structure is mandatory for the development of the hockey in Pakistan”

    he said ” Domestic contest are very important for the promotion of grass root level, if team didnt perform well then coach has to be changed in Pakistan which is not a good strategy, i became coach after ten years of continues efforts but unfortunately there is no training facility is available for coaches unfortunately in Pakistan”

    “Pakistan should have to give training to the coaches from the grass root level, players also have to play their role to bring back the glory of hockey in Pakistan” he added

    PAKISTAN HOCKEY FEDERATION CONGRESS MEETING ELECTED TARIQ BUGTI NEW PRESIDENT PHF

    Khurram Shehzad Awan : Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) congress elected Tariq Bugti as President PHF in meeting held at Pakistan Sports Complex Islamabad on Thursday.

    Tariq Bugti got 62 votes out of 93 electoral votes and secured vote of confidence. The representatives of Pakistan sports board and Pakistan Olympic Association were also present in the meeting along with 11 departments which includes Wapda, Police, Special Servies Groups, National Bank LTD, Pakistan Customs, Port Qasim, PIA, Pak Army, Navy and Railways.

    Tariq Bugti said ” PHF doors are open for everyone who wishes to serve for the restoration of our past glory in the national game. i will brief the Prime Minister of Pakistan about the development of game plan and also will investigate the elements who took unconstitutional step to made parallel body to PHF”

    “Hockey is the national game of Pakistan we will world with zeal and zest to promote the game at the grass root level and will use all the available resources. We are hopeful that PM will release special grant for the promotion of national game. There will be a mega event organized in the Quetta after the Eid ul Fitr” he added

    PAKISTAN HOCKEY FEDERATION UNDER BLACK CLOUDS FAKE ELECTIONS UNCONSTITUTIONAL BODY ANNOUNCED

    KHURRAM SHEHZAD AWAN: National game of Pakistan hockey is passing through the worst period of Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) internal politics which is destroying the whole hockey structure.

    There are two bodies of PHF is working in the federation which is shameful and unconstitutional. one group of PHF has decided his body and unconstitutionally appointed Shehla Raza as a president of PHF which is totally out of the box appointment as the authority to appoint president of PHF is prime minister of Pakistan who is patron in chief of PHF he never appointed Shehla Raza as a president but PM has already nominated Tariq Bugti as a president who has 70 votes in the congress out of total 93 votes, this the the fake elections held by the one group without any member of Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) and Pakistan Sports Board (PSB).

    According to PHF constitution Patron who is the PM has the powers to nominate President PHF. It is a must for PM nominated President to seek vote of Confidence from Congress which at this point of time has around 92 to 93 members. Elections in five to six districts are pending. in today’s meeting held in Karachi, 22 out of 93 Congress members were present.
    No one from Balochistan. Just one out of 16 from KPK. Five out of around 45 from Punjab and rest from Sindh participated in Congress meeting which was unconstitutional. THE PHF congress will meet on 21 March at Pakistan Sports Complex Islamabad.

    Pakistan Hockey team fail to qualify for the Paris Olympics 2024 after defeating from New Zealand by 3-2 in the third place qualifier match at Oman on 21 January, 2024. New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 3-2 in the bronze medal.

    At the beginning of the match green team performed very well and took the lead at the 18th minutes after scoring goal by Abu Bakar and again Abu Bakar Scored goal on Penalty Stroke in the 24th minutes of the match but New Zealand bounced back scored goals in the 24th , 52th and final match winning goal in the 58th minutes of the match and got the bronze medal.

    It is the third consecutive time that Pakistan Hockey team failed to qualify for the Olympic games. Pakistan is the fourth time world winner of hockey world cup but now national game hockey is declined due to the internal politics in the pakistan hockey federation which is the like a cancer for the game which should be solved by the big surgery.

    Muhammad Rizwan Awan: After the appearance of President Pakistan Hockey Federation( PHF) Mir Tariq Bugti on the selection first team and commission report, Pakistan Hockey Federation Complex announced a national hockey training camp for Pakistan players to prepare for hockey to participate in the Qualifier event. The camp will be organized in Islamabad with the support of Pakistan Sports Board. The National Hockey Training Camp will start on December 28 and will continue till January 11, 2024. The Olympics Qualifier will be played in Muscat, Oman from January 15 to 21. Instructions have been issued to the players that they will report to the head coach and camp commandant, Olympian Sahnaz Sheikh, by December 28 afternoon.

    Khurram Shehzad Awan: Pakistan junior hockey team reach in the quarterfinal of the junior hockey world cup after played draw match with Belgium at Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.

    The match between Pakistan and Belgium went 1-1 draw results Pakistan to reach in the quarter final with better standings on the points table. In the match Belgium started well and in the 3rd minute of the first quarter Belgium player Check scored first goal on penalty corner. Pakistan got two penalty corners in the 17th and 27th minute of the match but green shirts failed to level the contest. Pakistan leveled the games in the 42th minutes of the match when Arbaz Ahmed scored field goal and match become level with 1-1 which lasts to the end.

    Khurram Shehzad Awan : Pakistan junior hockey team thrashed New Zealand defending line up and won the match by 4-0 on Thursday in Junior Hockey world cup at Kuala Lumpur.

    Arshad Liaqat of Pakistan made hat trick while Adbul Hannan Shahid scored one goal and defeated New Zealand by 4-0, arshad Liaqat got man of the match award.

    According to the match details, both teams tried hard to made goal in the first quarter but all in vain. Arshad Liaqat scored first goal from the Pakistan in the 19th minute of the game and he scored second goal in the 30th minute of the match. Abdul Hannan Shahid ( captain) scored third goal from Pakistan in the 32th minute on penalty corner, Arshad Liaqat scored his third goal in the54th minutes of the match. New Zealand team failed to score a single goal in the match. Pakistan team will play his last match of the pool on 9 December against Belgium.

    Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia -The Junior Hockey Team of Pakistan showcased an outstanding performance, with Arshad Liaqat, Sufian Khan, and Arbaz Ahmed scoring crucial goals. In a nail-biting encounter at the ongoing Junior World Hockey Cup in Kuala Lumpur, the clash between Pakistan and the Netherlands concluded in a dramatic 3-3 draw.

    The Dutch team managed to secure field goals in the 21st and 30th minutes, leaving Pakistan trailing by two goals at the end of the first half. Pakistan fought back valiantly in the third quarter, with midfielder Arshad Liaqat scoring a field goal, narrowing the deficit.

    The turning point came in the 36th minute of the third quarter when Pakistan earned a penalty corner.
