    FIFA volunteer programme achieves landmark

    FIFA club world cup 2025 is going to start from 14 June to 13 July at USA is become the biggest event of the football. A large number of 32 club teams around the globe will compete to become the champion. FIFA started volunteer programme in December 2020 and now its becoming the largest volunteer programme with more than one million volunteers which is a remarkable achievement.

    The number reflects the importance of volunteers in delivering FIFA tournaments where they perform a variety of crucial roles which include greeting legends, finding seats for fans, carrying flags, supporting the media and preparing accreditation passes. 

    So far, the FIFA Volunteer Programme has been activated at 21 tournaments and events including the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, where 20,000 volunteers supported the competition after being selected from a record 420,000 applications, and the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™.

    now for the upcoming FIFA club world cup 2025, FIFA started once again the volunteer programme for the youngster to become the part of this mega event which requires 9000 volunteers.

    After the suspension by the FIFA, Pakistan football team is ruled out of the AFC Asian cup 2027 qualifier scheduled at Saudi Arabia. Asian Football confederation (AFC) issued letter on 10 February, 2025 to the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) which stated that the pakistan national men football team cannot eligible to participate in the AFC Asian cup 2027 qualifier in Saudi Arabia. Due to the recent suspension of the Pakistan Football Federation by FIFA, as stated in the letter dated February 10 (attached), the PFF has received the following communication from the AFC.

    The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) regrets to inform the football fraternity that the national team will be unable to participate in the final round of the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 Qualifiers.

    kHURRAM SHEHZAD AWAN : FIFA administration has released the FIFA club world cup 20125 schedule on Saturday 07 December, 2024.

    According to the schedule, event is starting from 14 June to 13 July 2025 . There are 32 teams and 8 groups including 4 teams in each group accordingly. Opening match to be stand alone fixture on Saturday 14 June, 2025 . It has also been decided that the opening match will be a stand-alone fixture, with the host country’s representative, Inter Miami CF, kicking off the new FIFA Club World Cup™ in style at their hometown 65,500-seat Hard Rock Stadium against Al Ahly FC on Saturday, 14 June 2025 at 21:00 local time. MetLife Stadium in New York New Jersey will not only see the new FIFA Club World Cup Trophy lifted on Sunday, 13 July 2025, but will also host the two semi-finals and one of the quarter-finals.

    FIFA President Gianni Infantino said: “The paths for the 32 teams have been set and we now know at what time and where, among 12 top-class stadiums, we will enjoy the 48 exciting group stage clashes. Together with another 15 matches in the knockout stage, this match schedule sets 63 dates in the diary of every football fan – those living in the US, traveling from abroad to these beautiful cities to support their clubs, or following live and for free from every corner of the world via DAZN and FIFA+.

    “This match schedule is much more than a list of thrilling fixtures involving the best clubs in the world – it shows that club football can, and will be, truly global. Let’s take it to the world.”

    National Women’s Football Club Championship final round commences on August 2 in Islamabad

    Sportsnaama Report: The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has announced the schedule of the final round of the National Women’s Football Club Championship 2024, set to take place from August 2 to August 10 at the Jinnah Sports Complex in Islamabad.

    The final round will feature the top eight teams that have made it through the preliminary stages, divided into two competitive groups:

    Group A: Karachi United WFC, JAFA WFC, Highlanders WFC, Hazara Quetta WFC

    Group B: Karachi City WFC, Diya WFC, Legacy WFC, TWK WFC

    The group stage will run from August 2 to 7, with all matches will be played at the Jinnah Sports Complex. The winners and runners-up from each group will advance to the semifinals, which are scheduled to be held on August 8. The championship will culminate in the final match on August 10 at the Jinnah Football Stadium.

    Khurram Shehzad Awan: Spain defeated England by 2-1 in the final of UEFA Euro championship at Berlin (Germany) on Sunday, 14 July 2024 and become the first team who won the title for the forth time.

    The final was nail biting contest as the first half went without any goal as both the teams attacked each others post but all in vain. In the 47th minutes Nico Williams scored first goal for Spain and took the lead by 1-0 but in the 73th minutes Cole Palmer scored the goal for England and level the contest with 1-1. Spain continued attack on the English post and got the success on the 86th minutes when Mike Oyarzabel scored the goal for Spain which last at the end of the game and Spain become the champion for the forth time.

    England lost the second consecutive final of EURO CUP which is also a remarkable performance.

    Islamabad: Chairman of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Normalisation Committee(NC), Haroon Malik visited the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). He was warmly received by President SCCI Abdul Ghafoor Malik, Senior Vice President (SVP) Wahub Jahangir, Vice President (VP) SCCI Amer Majeed Sheikh and President Sialkot Football Association Chaudhry Muhammad Ikhlaq.

    During the visit, discussions were held regarding promoting football in Sialkot, a city renowned for its export-oriented economy and contributions to Pakistan’s international trade.

    Chairman Haroon Malik expressed his honor in visiting the Sialkot Chamber and highlighted the initiatives to enhance football activities in the region. He said that the PFF, in collaboration with the Sialkot Football Association plans to organize regional and provincial-level tournaments in Sialkot soon. Additionally, he mentioned that preparations are underway to establish a football academy in Sialkot, which aims to nurture local talent and further promote the sport in the city.

    President SCCI Abdul Ghafoor Malik commended Chairman Haroon Malik for the PFF’s efforts in promoting football across the nation. He also praised the national football team’s performance in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers and the successful organization of the qualifier matches in Pakistan as a manifestation of the Federation’s effective leadership.

    Chairman PFF NC Haroon Malik also visited Forwards Sports in Sialkot, where he was warmly welcomed by Chief Executive Forwards Sports Khawaja Masood Akhtar. During the visit, Khawaja Masood provided Chairman NC Haroon Malik with a tour of the office and presented him with a souvenir.

    Khurram Shehzad : Saudi Arabia out classed Pakistan by 3-0 in FIFA World cup qualifier held at Jinnah stadium Islamabad on Thursday.

    Saudia Arabia forwards continually attacked the Pakistan post in the first half of the game and got success in the 26th minutes when F. Al Buraikan scored first goal and in the 41th minutes Al Buraikan scored second goal and took the lead 2-0 in the first half.

    Saudia Arabia dominated the game and in the 59th minutes of the match M. Aljuwayr scored third goal for Saudi Arabia which lasts at the end of the match. There were 20 thousand spectators present at the stadium to witness the mega contest. Which shows the popularity of football in Pakistan. The management of Pakistan sports board in collaboration with PFF organised the match accurately according to the FIFA standards which is appreciatable.

    PFF declares franchise-based Football league is illegal

    Lahore :

    The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has categorically stated that the franchise-based Pakistan Football League (PFL), which is claimed to be held in the next month, is an illegal event as per its statutes and has not been sanctioned by the federation.

    The PFF is the sole governing body for football in Pakistan duly affiliated with FIFA and the AFC.

    The PFF’s authority is reinforced by the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) vide its letter dated September 9, 2014, according to which the government only engages with national sports federations recognized by their respective international bodies.

    Participating in, organizing, or supporting any football event not sanctioned by the PFF is a clear violation of Article 82 of the PFF constitution and could lead to disciplinary measures.

    Furthermore, the PFF emphasized that it encourages any project aimed at genuine football development in the country, provided it is duly approved by the federation.

    Bangkok (Sportsnaama Report) : The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Normalisation Committee, led by Chairman Haroon Malik, accompanied by NC members Muhammad Shahid Niaz Khokhar and Saud Hashimi attended the 74th FIFA Congress held in Bangkok, Thailand.

    The 74th Congress, which saw attendance from the Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand Suriya Juangroongruangkit, FIFA Legends and other notable figures, was highlighted by several significant announcements and initiatives from FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

    FIFA President announced Brazil as the host nation for the tenth FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2027. He emphasized the need to stand up and combat racism, urging the football community to unite to eradicate the issue from the sport.

    On the sidelines of the 74th Congress, the Pakistani delegation, led by Haroon Malik engaged in productive discussions with representatives from Korea, Belarus, Russia, Palestine and Germany. The meetings will play a crucial role in shaping the future of football in Pakistan and paving the way for new opportunities and development within the sport.
