Sportsnaama Report: New Zealand defeated pakistan by 73 runs in first ODI being played between two sides on Saturday 29 March, 2025 at Mclean Park, New Zealand and lead the three match series with 1-0.

New Zealand made 344 runs with the loss of 9 wickets after the tremendous innings by Mark Chapman who scored 132 runs on 111 balls whereas Daryl Mitchell scored 76 runs. Pakistani bowlers struggled against the superb attacking batting by the kiwis and Irfan Khan Niazi got three wickets whereas Haris rauf and Akif Javed got two wickets each respectively.

In reply of the huge score on board Pakistani openers start well and made good opening partnership meanwhile Abduallah Shafique went back on 36 and Usman Khan made 39 runs. Babar Azam after very long time scored 78 runs but failed to continue his inning. Salman Ali Agha made fifty and scored 58 runs and pakistan team all out on 271 runs in 44.1 overs and New Zealand win the match by 73 runs . Nathan Smith got wickets and century maker Mark Chapman was declared man of the match.
