KHURRAM NAWAZ KHAN : Executive Board of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) in its Emergent Meeting held online on 15 August 2024 unanimously took a decision to cancel the 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games which were planned to held in Bangkok and Chonburi ( Thailand) in November current year.
The OCA Executive Board in its Emergency Meeting held online on 15th of August 2024 unanimously took a decision to cancel the games due to lack of budget, infrastructure and other HCC requirements. However, the EB gave the Organizing Committee till Monday 19th of August 5pm Bangkok time to inform the OCA if they can meet with all the
requirements of the Host City Contract. Failing to do so will result in automatic cancellation of the Games. Therefore, as per the decision of the OCA Executive Board the games are cancelled and the next edition of the Games will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the dates for which will be finalized shortly and sent to all concerned.
